Roommate of the Year

All My Sons of Nashville enjoys reporting on all things moving and real estate. So here’s the latest. Apartments.com is having a Roommate of the Year Contest offering the winner a grand prize of free rent for a year and $10,000 in cash. The four runners-up will win $500 each. All you have to do to enter is make a video that illustrates what makes you the year’s best roommate. Last year’s winner, the Nashville movers found out, a student in San Antonio, composed an original rap and created an eye-catching video. His roommates have signed up to be his roommates for the next year. Entries for Roommate of the year are due on June 14th, 2010. Check out the rules and guidelines .
Entrants are asked to pick a specific category that define the type of roommate you are, from the lovable compulsive to the designer touch to the possession obsessed and more. These categories all celebrate the various aspects of being a roommate like cleaning, making sure the bills get paid, decorating, taking care of pets and more. Entries will be judged on creativity and originality. The winners will be announced on December 31.
