Apparently the scam works this way: A rental property is offered to consumers who are led to believe that NAR is working as an intermediary to receive rental deposits from prospective tenants, and upon receipt of the deposit, to deliver the keys to the apartment or house to the tenants. The tenant is told to sent the money through Western Union to NAR’s purported agent. Please realize that NAR is NOT INVOLVED in this business, this is a SCAM. It is being investigated by law enforcement.
